Myself, Michelle and the kids went out to get the boat back on the lift after Interlakes Sports Center came and fixed the lift. We got there and had dinner followed by dropping the boat in. Michelle ran the truck back around while William and I went for a drive across the lake. After picking up Michelle, Cassie and Margaret we got a nice cruise in.
Margaret decided to go for a swim when we got back off the boat and fell into the water. No injuries just a wet annoyed toddler. We packed it in and came home after getting the boat tarped and wound up.
Mid 70’s a breeze out of the northwest. Beautiful clear water. As the night wore on the breeze wore off.
Weekend 3/5 in August this year saw severe weather roll through on Saturday night, blowing the skirting out from under the trailer yet again. Chris showed up early Sunday morning to fix it up and try to mow but the inch plus of rain kept the yard wet and un-mowable.
Michelle and the Kids (William/Margaret) showed up later Sunday morning and helped prep for guests. Chris lit a bonfire, cleaned up the paddle boat and got it on the water and made some stuffed peppers in advance. The lake was once again absolutely stunning as a slight breeze from the north left our side with no algae and no waves. Despite being cloudy and cooler (low sixties early morning) friends Max and Jenna came with their kids.
While the kids got some water time in we made brats and sweet corn for lunch. Post lunch the boat came down for tubing and boat rides, but a broken lift meant it stayed down and eventually got pulled from the lake until repairs can be made.
After tubing the flyboard got put in and both Max and Jenna attempted, both with some success. Chris took the opportunity to flyboard as well.
After Max and Jenna left Doug & Julie came to help pull the boat out while the lift was fixed, and everyone cleaned up and headed for home.
Cool and cloudy in the morning with nearly no wind (61 degrees). The afternoon saw periods of sunshine with full fun by 5:00 or so. As the sun came out and the temperatures climbed a chilly north breeze picked up.
DING DONG the futons are dead. Chris was more excited than is rational as a summer long plan finally got executed to replace the futons. Kathy, Margaret and Chris picked up the leather love seat, chair and footstool original to his bachelor pad and delivered it to the lake along with the glider from Grandma and Grandpa’s apartment. After loading up Kathy’s suburban at Chris’ house a stop at the shipwreck for dinner (two for one burger night!) was closely followed by some unloading at the lake.
After Michelle and William stopped after VBS for an inspection and approval the futons were brought home and given away via Facebook marketplace.
It was cloudy, in the mid to low 70’s with a north breeze. The water was crystal clear at 7:00 PM, same as the previous Sunday. Yard is finally firming up, we were able to back the suburban and Rav4 up to the deck.
Kathy Uthe, Chris Uthe, Michelle Uthe, William Uthe, Margaret Uthe.
Chris/Michelle/William/Margaret arrived with Cassie on Friday night.
Saturday morning William and Chris went to get Kelly’s side by side to help put in the jetski the flyboard is attached to. Later that day Peter, Ivy, Kelly, Alicia, Elsie and Arlo arrived. Chris took Peter and Ivy flyboarding, getting both up out of the water pretty quickly and easily. Once Kelly arrived from work their flyboarding took a turn for the better as smaller boots were fitted. Ivy showed great progress and quickly found herself easily hovering and flying around. Dinner included sausage and cheese stuffed sweet peppers, hamburgers, brats and hot dogs with grill potatoes and grilled pineapple. After dinner more flyboarding, cleanup and everyone but the Uthe’s left.
Sunday saw the return of Kelly and Alicia with Elsie and Arlo. Some beach time along with some play inside for the kids. Kelly took Chris flyboarding during the kids naps. Lunch was steak/salads/fruit. After nap Alicia and Michelle took Elsie and Will to their first night of VBS while Kelly and Chris cleaned up and closed up for the weekend.
